This notice explains what the Web Demo Capture browser extension (the “Extension”), a product of iiniit, accesses and transmits. It supplements our main Privacy Policy. The Extension records a click-through of a website you choose and turns it into an interactive demo in your Web Demo account.

The Extension captures only while you are recording — after you open the popup and press Start recording, and until you press Stop & upload. When you are not recording it captures nothing, sends nothing, and does not track your browsing. It has no background analytics and does not monitor pages outside an active recording session.

During an active recording session, and only on the tab you are recording:

• Screenshots. In guided mode, a screenshot of the visible tab is taken on each click to build the demo’s steps.
• Page snapshots. In sandbox mode, a snapshot of the page’s HTML and styles is captured so the demo can be explored freely.
• Click targets. The position and visible label of the element you click, used to place demo hotspots.
• Page context. The URL and title of the pages you capture.

Because a screenshot or page snapshot reflects whatever is on screen while you record, it may include content shown on that page. You control what you capture by choosing when to record and which pages to visit. Do not record pages containing information you do not want stored in your demo.

The Extension requests the minimum permissions it needs to work:

• Access to websites you record. Required to capture screenshots and page snapshots of the site you are demoing.
• Tabs. To capture the visible tab and know which page a step belongs to.
• Storage. To hold your recording in progress and your capture token on your device between the browser restarting the extension.

When you press Stop & upload, the Extension sends your recording to your Web Demo account:

• Step metadata (click hotspots, page URLs and titles) is sent to the Web Demo API at webdemo.iiniit.com.
• Screenshots and page snapshots are uploaded directly to our storage provider (Cloudflare R2) over an encrypted connection using a short-lived upload link.

Uploads are authorized with a capture token you generate in the Web Demo app and paste into the Extension. The token identifies your organization so captures land in your account.

Your capture token, the selected mode, and the steps of a recording in progress are stored locally in the browser’s extension storage so a session survives the browser pausing the Extension. Captured steps are cleared from local storage after a successful upload. Uninstalling the Extension removes this local data.

• It does not capture anything while you are not recording.
• It does not track or log your general browsing history.
• It does not sell your data or share it for advertising.
• It does not intentionally collect passwords or payment fields; avoid recording pages that display sensitive information.

Captures uploaded to your account are retained and handled as described in our Privacy Policy, including how to access, export, or delete them. You can delete a captured demo at any time from the Web Demo dashboard, and you can revoke a capture token from Settings → Capture tokens.

We may update this notice from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, note it in the Extension or app.
